You can find particular word or phrase within your document and replace it with another.


Find word or phrases

To find a word or phrase:

  1. Click Edit-Find/Replace.
  2. Enter text in the Find What field and click the Find button on the Find/Replace dialog.

Replace words or phrases

To replace a word or phrases:

  1. Click Edit-Find/Replace.
  2. Enter text in the Find What field on the Find/Replace dialog box.
  3. Enter text in the Replace with field and then click the Replace button. If you want to replace all occurrences of the text, click the Replace All button.

Find/Replace Dialog Box

Find

  • Find What: Type content to search for.
  • Match Case Search for exactly matching English letters that even match case.
    For example, when looking for "computer", it doesn't look for "Computer" or "COMPUTER".

Replace

  • Replace with: Type content to replace with.

Find Button

A word that matches Find What is found within the designated range. Each time the button is clicked, it moves through to find the next word of all instances.


Replace Button

Replace the words or phrases that matches Find What with the one that matches Replace with.


Replace All Button

Finds all instances of the word in Find What and replaces them with Replace with within the designated range.
