Footnote/Endnote

Footnotes are notes placed at the bottom of a page in a document whereas endnotes are placed at the end of a section or a document.

Footnotes and endnotes are used for additional information, explanatory notes, or quoted passages.


Insert a foonote

To insert a footnote:

  1. Position the mouse pointer where you want to add a footnote.
  2. Click Insert-Annotation-Footnote. The note area appears on the editing screen.
  3. Enter contents in the footnote area.

Insert an endnote

To insert an endnote:

  1. Position the mouse pointer where you want to add an endnote.
  2. Click Insert-Annotation-Endnote. The note area appears on the editing screen.
  3. Enter contents in the endnote area.
