Change properties such as fill color, line shape, and line color for selected objects.

Change the fill or line color

To change the fill or line color:

  1. Select an object to change its properties.
  2. Do one of the following on the Drawing Properties tab of the Text Box and Shape task pane.
    • Specify the options under Fill or Line.
    • When you specify a color, select the desired color from the Theme Colors tab, or click the Spectrum tab, create the desired color, and then click OK. You can also enter a color code you know.

Change the transparency

To change the transparency of the object and object line:

  1. Select an object to change its properties.
  2. Do one of the following on the Drawing Properties tab of the Text Box and Shape task pane.
    • To change the transparency of the object background, select a type under Fill, and then specify the Transparency.
    • To change the transparency of the object line, select a type under Line, and then specify the Transparency.

Task pane configuration may vary depending on the number of objects you select

Depending on the number of objects you select, the task pane or configuration of it may vary. For example, if you select one shape object, the Text Box and Shape task pane appears. If you select multiple shape objects, the Multiple Objects task pane appears.
